University Decision Support is a division of Cybernetica Consulting, Inc. dedicated to helping student service professionals and other university officers define, gather, analyze and interpret the data they need for data driven managerial decision making. We provide survey and related analytical services to college and university student service professionals and administrative officers. We provide the information needed by the professionals who manage important student services such as housing, dining, student life, international student, health, and academic services, so that they can make informed, data driven decisions in planning strategy, designing, and managing processes and operations and in allocating limited, finite resources. We have been providing survey, data collection, statistical analysis and management process consulting to client organizations for over thirty years. In short, we know how to design surveys, collect data, and then process those data into relevant information so that they meet the needs of managers who must act on them.
Our experience developing and conducting surveys is as extensive as it is varied. In addition to extensive servicing of the educational community, including Ivy League and foriegn universities, we have provided survey services to some of the most demanding clients in the world. We participated in the original design and execution of client satisfaction surveys that monitored the introduction of the Infinity luxury automobile. We have conducted surveys of difficult-to-reach populations including recipients of governmental entitlement programs such as job training and GED populations. We have also done on-site “on-the-ground” surveys of US troops in Iraq for the US Department of Defense. Additionally, we have surveyed the consumer markets of service companies in the US and Europe. And because we have also worked closely with companies to design and improve their management processes, we know how important it is to collaborate with client organizations to understand their data needs from their point of view, and to then collect and present them in a manner that it is meaningful to, and actionable by, the responsible managers.
